Here are some of my favorite locations to shop for plants.
Laguna Hills Nursery
This is one of my favorite nurseries. It is a family owned business located in Santa Ana, CA. They offer a wide variety of unique herbs according to season. There are always a great selection of fruit trees as well as houseplants. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Plant Depot
This nursery is located in San Juan Capistrano, CA and offers a wide variety of houseplants, pottery, herbs, California natives, veggies and more. Give yourself plenty of time -there is a lot to see and prices are reasonable.
Ricardo’s Nursery
This is a great nursery in Long Beach, CA. It is a larger nursery with a great selection of fruit trees, California natives, succulents, cactus, pottery and houseplants. The prices are reasonable and the staff is amazing. They are very attentive and knowledgeable.
Seaside Growers Nursery
This nursery is a hidden gem. It is located in San Juan Capistrano, CA. It has a fun array of houseplants as well as California natives. This is a fun nursery to explore.
Evergreen Nursery
This is a small nursery located in Garden Grove, CA. The vegetables and herbs here are wonderful. They have unique varieties that are not typically offered at local garden center. They also have an eclectic assortment of houseplants and succulents. The prices are reasonable.
Tree of Life Nursery
This nursery is located off of Highway 74 in San Juan Capistrano, CA. It is a family owned business. It is more of an outing to a California nature center that also sells plants. I love to meander around and see how they have incorporated California natives all throughout their nursery. It is gorgeous. The staff is extremely knowledgable and helpful.
